         Over the past decade, I have dedicated my life to promoting the potential of  people with disabilities within themselves and their community.

       During that struggle, I learned about advocacy, networking, communication and compromise. These skills were developed through my role as an advocate, leader and member of many community planning /advisory groups. As a 39 year old self-advocate, I realize I am very fortunate to have been encouraged to grow to a level many people with a disability are prevented from reaching.

      Today, I am continuing to build on these important life experiences  by working as a consultant and advisor to other groups and agencies who are seeking assistance and/or guidance in  promoting  self-determination and empowering  people supported by services.
